The food and service were excellent.
We went to Mustard Seed during our summer trip to Scotland and it was definitely among Top 3 meals we had there 🙂 We ate three Specials (fish, mussels and gnocchi) and all of them were excellent. Just remember to leave some space for the cheesecake as it is really amazing (and not too sweet as they often are), and to book a table in advance. We will definitely come back when in Inverness again!

Spent a week in Scotland, and The Mustard Seed was by far the best meal we had during the trip. It’s a slightly upscale restaurant, but it still felt relaxed and casual. Had an amazing evening with friends over several bottles of wine, and then ended with desserts and an espresso martini. Will absolutely be back next time I’m in the Highlands!

Came without reservation and were attended to in no time and very professional. The service is outstanding, efficient, friendly and always with a smile. The menu reads very good, dishes composed with a little twist – above the ordinary – still excution not on the same level as menu promised. Wine selection was very good.
